Life is in a bit of upheaval these days, as my wedding approaches and summer wanes through the dog days of muggy weather and rumbling storm. We are busy, busy, busy with planning, preparation and more than a bit of simply waiting — which, oddly enough, seems to take the most energy of all.
But in the meantime, Jeff and I have some exciting new projects in the works, and one of them is already underway. I’m psyched to officially announce the launch of our very own podcast: Dining with Druids!
Dining with Druids is your opportunity to sit in once a week and eavesdrop on the wild and rambling dinner conversation of two Druids as we discuss the news of the day and other interesting tidbits, informed by our backgrounds in political philosophy, linguistics, religious studies, history and modern-day spirituality.
Don’t be fooled by the name — this is no cooking show! It’s a chance for us to unwind with some friendly conversation about the intersection of religion, politics, community and spirituality in an ever-changing, multicultural world. In our first few episodes, we’ve already talked about diverse issues like: sexism in the atheist community, the legal obligations of the professional tarot reader, discrimination and interfaith work, and Christian, Pagan and political themes in the new Harry Potter movie. If there’s one thing you can say about dining with Druids, it’s that they always serve up plenty of food for thought!
